Conference Re-alignment aka FootballExpansion

So Nebraska is going to the Big 10 with Missouri probabably following suit and then the new Pac 16 which will probably gain Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Colorado (just announced that they are joining) which is about to be the little SIX... Clearly all these moves are being made with Football in mind and not care in the world about basketball, or else somebody would quickly be scooping up Kansas and creating a more powerful basketball conference. I really dont agree with all this expansion and stuff because in the end I see a super conference being created and watering down the already suspect BCS.

  1. I feel like everyone is just tired of gettin beat on by the SEC. But more competition within conference isn't the way to do it. But all the teams leaving are gonna get paid. Especially with fox sports net (PAC 10) & the big ten network.

  2. yeah at the end of the day i think that if this goes through the smaller conferences will be obsolete and eventually pushed even further down the line.

  3. This just proves that football is more important than basketball. College football makes way more money than college basketball. So the schools are doing this clearly for the financial aspect of things. Kansas and Chapel Hill basketball are the highest grossing basketball programs in college. Still no one wants to add them to their conference. Why? Bc their football programs "suck" and football is bigger!

  4. I thought you were talking about NBA conference alignment... I would of had a lot to say about that.. College football, not so much. Spice up the layout, but I like the content cuzzo

On thinking about the Big Ten and OSU's fine Junior WR receiver, Devin Posey . Will this be Devin's breakout season? He seems to have the talent and the experience to be All-Big Ten in 2010. His play in the Rose Bowl was exceptional. Is this the year for a 1000 yard season? Probably, but a lot will hinge on Quarterback, Terrelle Pryor surpassing last year's accomplishments

  6. I love Posey but I agree a lot hinges on Pryor, but more hinges on Tressel... Pryor and Posey have the skill and athleticism to exploit most teams but will Tressel give them the chance to show this, if the Rose Bowl is any indication then yes I believe this is Posey's breakout performance.
